Berlin, April 4, 2019. MÄHREN AG, a long-term oriented portfolio holder with a focus on residential properties, has added eight residential buildings with 170 units and about 13,000 square meters of total space to its portfolio.

With two newly acquired buildings in Essen, the company has carried out further acquisitions in the Ruhr region, thus successfully continuing its gradual expansion to the whole of the country. As already the case in selected cities in Eastern Germany, MÄHREN AG is also investing there in B and C locations in stable areas, potential targets are larger apartment buildings and residential complexes or whole portfolios.

“Our depth of market knowledge and our broad network enable us to continue acquiring attractive buildings there despite the tight market situation. In both Eastern Germany and the Ruhr region we currently have a very good acquisition pipeline,” explains Mähren.

Three of the newly acquired apartment buildings with more than 100 residential units are located in Mähren AG’s home market, the federal capital: including two old buildings in the districts of Schöneberg (Eisenacher Str.) and Pankow (Mendelstr.) and also a residential complex with 82 residential and commercial units and a rental space of altogether 5,984 m² in Steglitz-Zehlendorf (Bruchwitzstr. 32, 32a, 34, 36/Schulstr. 13, 15). Then, there is a classical stucco building in Magdeburg (Salzmannstr./Lemsdorfer Weg), a building in need of refurbishment in Dresden (Gohliser Str.) and an apartment building in Gubener Strasse, Frankfurt (Oder).
